Listed unit price is only the first comparison.
Listed price per cigar divides the advertised package price by the verified quantity. Known delivered price per cigar also subtracts the coupon and adds the shipping, tax amount, and fees you explicitly mark as known. If any checkout cost is unknown, the calculator labels the result a known-cost subtotal rather than a fully delivered price.
Blank coupon fields count as zero. A known shipping, tax, or fee field may be entered as $0 only when you know that cost is zero. Tax is a fixed amount you supply; the calculator does not estimate tax rates. Coupons apply to the listed package price before the user-entered tax amount.
A box can cost less per cigar while costing more today.
In the included example, a $65 five-pack is $13 per cigar and a $120 box of 10 is $12 per cigar before checkout costs. The box saves $1 per cigar, but it requires $55 more and leaves you with five additional cigars. Those prices are illustrative and are not live retailer offers.
Shipping, tax, discounts, and membership conditions can change that comparison. Verify the quantity and checkout total before buying, and do not treat unlike cigars, vitolas, or mixed sampler contents as interchangeable units.
Sometimes sampling is the better decision.
A lower unit price is useful only when the product match is real and the quantity fits your confidence. If you have not smoked the cigar, a single or five-pack may limit regret even when a box looks cheaper per stick. A familiar cigar with strong personal fit may justify more exposure; an ambiguous listing or untried blend may justify waiting.
The calculator compares arithmetic only. It does not identify products, know your palate or inventory, request live retailer prices, or decide whether you should buy tobacco.
Boxworthy does not sell tobacco and does not provide live retailer prices. This calculator is an informational arithmetic tool for adults of legal age.
